The terms, in the fewest words that still bind.

This is the agreement between you and Cueits. It is written to be read rather than survived: what the product does, what you may upload, how credits and billing work, how long your media is kept, and what happens when either of us walks away.

01Who this agreement is with

Cueits is operated by [full legal name — to be filled in], a sole proprietor in India, at [postal address — to be filled in]. In these terms “we”, “us” and “Cueits” mean that person, and “you” means whoever holds the account.

Creating an account, or using the service at all, means you accept these terms. If you are using Cueits for a company or a client, you are confirming you may accept them on that party’s behalf.

Two other documents sit alongside this one and are part of the same agreement: the Privacy Policy, which says what happens to your data, and the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which says how to stop paying and when money comes back.

02What Cueits does

You upload a talking-head video. Cueits transcribes it, works out what you said, and renders a vertical or landscape video with an infographic panel beside your footage whose parts are revealed in step with the words that motivate them. It can also produce a caption video, which burns styled captions onto your footage without the panel.

Parts of that are done by machine-learning models, including third-party ones. Clause 4 says who owns what comes out, and clause 14 says what we do not promise about it.

03Your account

You need an account to use Cueits. You can create one with an email address and a password, or with Sign in with Google.

  • You must be at least 18, or old enough where you live to enter a contract on your own.
  • One account is for one person. Sharing credentials so that several people work from a single subscription is not permitted.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you, so tell us at [email protected] the moment you think someone else is in it.
  • Give us an email address that reaches you. It is where a password reset goes, and where notice under clause 17 is sent.

04Your content, and who owns it

Your video is yours. So is the transcript taken from it, the plan built from that, and the finished render. We claim no ownership of any of it, and nothing here gives us a right to show your work to anyone, put it in a portfolio, or use it in marketing.

What we do need is a narrow permission to run the product at all. By uploading, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, transcode, transcribe, analyse and render your content, and to pass it to the service providers listed in the Privacy Policy for those same purposes. It lasts as long as we hold the files, it exists so the product can do the job you asked for, and it covers nothing else.

You can use what Cueits produces for anything, including commercially, on any platform, with no attribution to us. On the Free plan the export carries a “Created on Cueits” watermark; paying removes it, and that is the only difference in what you may do with the file.

You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload — the footage, the music in it, any logo or brand material you add to a brand kit, and the consent of anyone appearing or audible in it.

05What you may not upload or make

Do not use Cueits for any of the following.

  • Sexual content, and any depiction of a minor in a sexual context whatsoever. This is the one line with no discussion attached to it: an account is closed and, where the law requires it, reported.
  • Content you do not have the rights to — someone else’s footage, someone else’s face or voice without their consent, or material that infringes a copyright or a trademark.
  • Anything unlawful where you are or where we are, including harassment, threats, incitement to violence, and content that promotes self-harm.
  • Deceptive material: impersonating a real person or organisation, fabricated statements presented as someone’s own, or synthetic media made to pass as a real recording of a real event.
  • Fraud, scams, malware, or anything designed to mislead people about money.

The panel Cueits draws is generated from what you said. Presenting a generated figure as a verified fact is your call and your responsibility, not ours — see clause 14.

06Automated screening, strikes and suspension

Every upload is screened by an automated classifier before it is stored. An upload that fails is refused outright, which means the file never reaches our storage at all, and the attempt is recorded against your account as a strike.

Enough strikes suspend the account: uploads and renders stop, and you are told why. Suspension does not destroy your work — every video already in your library stays exactly where it was, because being suspended is not the same as being erased.

Automated screening is not perfect, and a false positive is a normal thing to appeal. Write to [email protected] and a person will look at it. Strikes are cleared by hand, deliberately, so a mistaken one does not simply sit there.

07Plans, credits and what a render costs

Cueits is metered in credits. A plan comes with an allowance of them each month, and rendering is the thing that spends them. Uploading, transcribing, the first plan of your video, editing beats and every preview cost nothing.

A render is priced by the minute of source video and by what it is: an animation costs more per minute than a caption video, higher resolutions and frame rates cost proportionally more, and re-planning a video after the first plan costs a small fixed amount. The current rates and every plan’s allowance and limits are on the pricing page, which is the authoritative version of those numbers.

How credits behave

  • A plan’s monthly credits do not roll over. They refill on the monthly anniversary of your billing date and whatever is left goes.
  • Credits you buy as a top-up never expire, and are only spent once the month’s allowance is gone. Top-ups are available on a paid plan, not on Free.
  • An annual plan still refills monthly. Paying for a year buys twelve monthly allowances, not one large one.
  • Upgrading replaces your plan rather than adding one. Unspent credits from the plan you were paying for come across and keep the expiry date they already had; the days you had already paid for on the old plan are not refunded.
  • A render that fails on our side is refunded in credits. You are not charged for work we did not deliver.

Each plan also carries limits — the length of video it accepts, the export resolution, how many videos you may keep saved, whether the export is watermarked. We may change what a plan includes; clause 17 says how you are told.

08Payment, tax and the merchant of record

Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, which acts as merchant of record. They take the payment, issue the invoice, and handle sales tax, VAT and GST where it applies — so their name, not ours, is what appears on your card statement and on the receipt.

Card details are entered on their checkout and are never seen by, sent to, or stored on our servers. What we keep is the customer reference they give us, your plan, and your credit ledger.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you are; the checkout shows the final amount before you pay. A subscription renews automatically at the start of each period until it is cancelled. If a payment fails, the plan can lapse to Free — the allowance drops, the watermark returns, and your existing videos are untouched.

09Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time and keep everything you have paid for until the end of the period you are in. The full terms — the refund window, what makes a payment refundable, how to ask, and how long it takes — are in the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

Deleting your account is not a way to stop a subscription. Cancel the subscription first; a plan that is still renewing blocks deletion for exactly that reason.

10How long we keep your media

Storage is part of what a plan buys, so the window is part of the plan. Each plan states how long a finished video is kept — the current windows are on the pricing page — after which it is deleted.

  • Your raw upload is deleted 24 hours after the render lands. Once the deliverable exists, the source is not what you came for.
  • The finished video is kept for your plan’s window, counted from when it was made, and then removed.
  • A video saved to your Assets library stays until you delete it, subject to the number of saved videos your plan allows.

Download what you want to keep. Cueits is a tool for making videos, not an archive of them, and a deleted render cannot be recovered.

11Fair use of the platform

Alongside clause 5, please do not:

  • work around a plan limit, a credit balance, or the watermark by technical means, or open extra accounts to collect more free credits;
  • automate the product against our API without written permission, scrape it, or resell access to it;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the presets, element library or rendering system;
  • interfere with the service or the queue — load testing, denial-of-service, or probing for vulnerabilities without asking us first.

Security research is welcome when it is coordinated. Write to [email protected] before you start.

12Availability, and change

Cueits is offered as it is, without a guaranteed uptime figure. Render capacity is shared and queued, and a paid plan buys a better place in that queue rather than a promised time.

Features, presets and limits change. We add and retire presets, adjust what a plan includes, and change how the pipeline works. Where a change materially reduces what you already pay for, clause 17 applies.

13Ending this

By you

Cancel your subscription in the billing portal, and delete your account from the account screen whenever you like. Deletion is reversible for 30 days: your work is kept and your sessions are signed out, signing back in during that window offers a restore, and after it everything is purged for good.

By us

We may suspend or close an account that breaks clause 5, clause 11, or the law — immediately where the breach is serious, and otherwise after telling you what is wrong and giving you a fair chance to fix it. If we close a paid account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused part of the period.

14What we do not promise

Cueits is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

The panels are generated. A number, a label or a claim drawn from your transcript can be wrong, and checking it before you publish is your job — you are the one whose name is on the video.

We also do not promise that transcription will be accurate for every accent, language or recording, that a render will always succeed, or that a particular preset will still exist next year.

15Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss — lost profit, lost audience, lost revenue, or the cost of substitute software.

Our total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or US$50.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, and nothing affects the rights the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 gives you as a consumer in India.

16Your side of it

If someone brings a claim against us because of what you uploaded or published — a rights holder, a person who appears in your footage, a regulator — you agree to cover the cost of defending it, provided we tell you about it promptly and let you take part in the defence.

17Changes to these terms

These terms take effect on 10 September 2026. We will update them as the product changes, and the date at the top of this page always says which version you are reading.

For a material change — one that reduces what you get, raises what you pay, or narrows your rights — we will give you at least 14 days’ notice by email or in the app before it applies to you, and cancelling within that window is always an answer. Continuing to use Cueits after a change takes effect means you accept it.

18Governing law and disputes

This agreement is governed by the laws of India, and the courts at [city — to be filled in] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.

Before that, though: write to us. Almost everything that reaches a lawyer could have been settled by an email to [email protected], and we would rather have the email.
